STUDY OF MATERNAL LIPID PROFILE IN PREECLAMPSIA

Introduction: This study evaluates relationship between serum lipid profile and preeclampsia1 . Objective:The is to compare the mean levels in pre-eclamptic normal pregnancy. Design:This a descriptive study. Participants: Among patients attending Out Patient Department Chalmeda Anand Rao institute of medical sciences, 25 singleton pregnancies diagnosed as having preeclampsia without such diagnosis were included Outcome measures: Risk preeclampsia, pregnancy induced hypertension, preterm birth, small/large for gestational age child loss. Results:In triglycerides (254 mg/dl ± 0.45 versus 116.59 4.9) significantly higher than controls (p<0.05). Mean HDL-Cholesterol (36.92 7.70 51 5.46) statistically LDL-Cholesterollevels were(132.95mg/dl 32.26 99.36 17.75) compared Conclusion: Pre-eclamptic women had deranged pregnant women.
